Greenhouse supplies wholesale, compared on one specification
The useful question is what each factory has included. Prairie Bridge Sourcing helps turn your greenhouse brief into a quote schedule, keeping the selected structure, covering, dimensions and bay layout consistent across replies.
See the inquiry catalog →The comparison schedule
| Requirement to freeze | Evidence to request from each factory |
|---|---|
| Frame and geometry | Drawing revision, span / bay width in m or ft, eave height, number of bays, opening sizes, material grade and connection details. The supplier must identify its quoted dimensions rather than answering with a generic catalog photograph. |
| Covering and envelope | Material identity, thickness and tolerances, glass or sheet configuration, light transmission test basis, seals, fixings and replacement procedure. Diffuse glass, polycarbonate and film alternatives need separate lines because their support and maintenance assumptions can differ. |
| Site and load assumptions | Destination, project exposure and the buyer's local wind or snow load basis. Request the engineering scope and the person responsible for design review. A preliminary supplier quote does not establish site suitability or permit approval. |
| Controls and accessories | Vent drives, curtain scope, evaporative cooling pad and fan schedule, electrical supply, sensor interfaces, commissioning and manuals. State whether these are supply-only items or part of an integrated package. |
| Commercial boundary | MOQ, sample terms, currency, quantity unit, packing, dispatch assumptions, trade terms and payment milestones. Separate inland transport, freight, taxes, service fees and unloading to compare procurement total cost. |
No existing quotation is needed to start. A budget-friendly preference may prioritize simpler controls and standard dimensions; a premium preference may prioritize documentation, material options and integration support. Neither preference changes the required site checks.
Resolve differences before selecting a supplier
Mark a baseline and permitted alternatives
For example, a grower planning a new propagation house can specify bay width and bench clearances, then ask for film and polycarbonate options separately. The result is a comparison with visible material differences, not a claimed completed project.
Ask for item-specific confirmation
Request packing lists, component drawings and sample procedures for the exact offer. If a certificate is supplied, check its issuer, holder, model scope and validity. A management certificate does not prove the greenhouse meets a local structural requirement.
Agree acceptance and coordination tasks
Set a method for checking covering thickness, frame dimensions, quantities and packing against the approved schedule. Define who arranges inspection, transport and installation before relying on an expected seasonal delivery date.
Factory matching is a procurement activity. Engineering design, customs decisions and installation work require named parties and a separately accepted scope. Read the greenhouse quote checklist for the buyer-side record.
Send the scope you want factories to quote
Describe fixed dimensions, covering options, quantities and the US receiving point. Include desired delivery timing and installation boundaries.
